Two great concerts so far – will the last one in Drammen keep up with that?

Friday, March 13th, 2009And on we go! Concert number two, this time in Hamar. We spent the afternoon walking along the lake, very nice – but kinda cold, actually. But no worry, we got warm again at the concert…

12.03.2009 Skambankt (Parkteatret, Oslo)
Thursday, March 12th, 2009And here we go again – three days, three Skambankt concert! And NO problem whatsoever to get to Norway this time! =:-o Let’s hope that’s how it’s gonna stay…

7.2.2009 Skambankt (Haugesund)
Saturday, February 7th, 2009I really don’t know how all the bad karma about Skambankt concerts comes about. I mean, I made it to Haugesund without problems and saw another great concert, but right now I’m sitting at Haugesund airport with a chance of maybe 10% to actually make it back home today. Yeah. So forgive me if the report should sound negative in some way, it’s not because of the concert… =:-(

6.2.2009 Skambankt (Bergen)
Friday, February 6th, 2009New album, new tour! =:-) And right back to the old routines… I mean, I’m kind of used to things going wrong whenever I go to Norway to see Skambankt. This time it was that my flight to Norway was delayed for more than three hours – and of course it was with a different airline than the connecting flight, which I clearly couldn’t catch. Honestly, I already expected to spend my weekend in Oslo instead of going to Bergen and Haugesund… but then it did work out alright in the end, Norwegian airlines are the best, and I arrived in Bergen two hours later than expected. But hey – I made it! =:-)

21.11.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Postbahnhof, Berlin)
Friday, November 21st, 2008Hmm… actually I had planned to celebrate my 100th concert by NOT writing a concert report. =;-) But it was just too good, so I have to, I guess… *g* But I don’t have any photos this time.

20.11.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (LKA, Stuttgart)
Thursday, November 20th, 2008Finally a concert in my home town (or rather the city next to my home town, but that’s good enough)! For the very first time! =:-D OK, I guess I shouldn’t mention that it still took an hour to drive there, but well, that’s Stuttgart… But then I know the LKA pretty well, and because of that I was kinda doubtful while we were standing outside and waiting (the doors didn’t open until a quarter to eight, even though they should have opened at seven). There were very few people there actually – okay, not a big surprise on this tour, though. =:-(

16.11.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Stahlwerk, Düsseldorf)
Sunday, November 16th, 2008Hmm… naah. Didn’t really like that one. Not sure why – maybe because of the 600 kilometers between the last concert and this one? Or because you had to walk 200 meters in the hall this time before you actually reached the last row of the audience? Or maybe because of the 2 meter aisle separating band and audience? Or the setlist with very little gypsy? Probably a bit of all. So I didn’t really get into the concert mood this time. But then, my friends who came along and had never seen or heard of Kaizers before were amazed. =;-)

15.11.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Kofmehl, Solothurn)
Saturday, November 15th, 2008Next up was the only Switzerland concert of this tour, of course in… Solothurn. The venue looked absolutely dead before the doors opened, and right before the concert started, it was still pretty empty. But just like the last concerts, it did fill up eventually! So this promised to be another good concert again.

14.11.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Colos-Saal, Aschaffenburg)
Friday, November 14th, 2008Next stop: Aschaffenburg. No traffic jams (very unusual for a Friday afternoon!), so I arrived in Aschaffenburg an hour before the doors opened. No problem though – the venue was right in the city center, and I found a record store right away where I spent some time. Didn’t find anything though – but no wonder, Kaizers talked lateron on stage about how had they basically bought the whole shop. =;-)
