I’ve known Kaizers for a little over a year now – and of course I had to see the last concert before the break. Even though – or maybe because? – it took place in the Rockefeller in Oslo!

Saturday, September 11th, 200419.8.2004 Kaizers Orchestra (Pukkelpop, Hasselt)
Thursday, August 19th, 2004As already mentioned, and extremely refreshing night in the car… then we spent the whole morning looking for a place to take a shower – what kind of resting places are those stops at Dutch motorways, where they don’t have showers? *grmbl* Well, finally we were “successful”, only cold water though, but well, at least it was wet and refreshing… *g* After that, a terrible lunch at Quick (whoever tells me again that Quick is the Belgian equivalent of Burger King, better prepare for something! Woah, that was really uneatable… *shiver*) and a year’s supply of Belgian chocolate from the supermarket, and then we were ready to get to Pukkelpop, one of the biggest Belgian festivals.

18.8.2004 Kaizers Orchestra (Tivoli, Utrecht)
Wednesday, August 18th, 2004And finally back on the road – only one more time, and then there’s not gonna be any concerts for a whole year! *shiver* The first concert this time took place in Utrecht (near Amsterdam). 400 km, after that totally chaotic one way streets, but a Kaizers club gig is worth all the trouble… =;-)

2.7.2004 Kaizers Orchestra (Open Air, St. Gallen)
Friday, July 2nd, 2004Switzerland! There was a long concert weekend coming up for me: Friday and Saturday Open Air St. Gallen, and Sunday Spirit of Music in Uster. Two Kaizers concerts, and in between a whole lot of other bands… wow! The only negative thing about it was that I had to go alone, cause everybody else didn’t have time or money or tickets… but well, what are you gonna do? *g*

26.6.2004 Kaizers Orchestra (Verdur Rock, Namur)
Saturday, June 26th, 2004Three weeks without Kaizers – much too long! But finally they played again in Belgium, this time for the first time in the French-speaking part. And of course I had to be there – and I wasn’t the only one, many German fans planned to go there, so this was gonna be a really nice day, with a Kaizers concert to make it perfect!

4.6.2004 Kaizers Orchestra (Alterna Stage, Rock am Ring)
Friday, June 4th, 2004Rock am Ring – wohoo! I have been there twice several years ago, but in the last years I found it just too big and too bombastic and too – expensive. This year, Kaizers were supposed to play as “Late Night Special” just after the last headliner on Friday. And of course I had to work the whole weekend, or well, I should have worked… =;-) But I decided I just HAD to see this, and as Shirin could organize cool free VIP passes (THANKS again!!), there was no reason to miss out on the concert!

1.6.2004 Kaizers Orchestra (Underground, Köln)
Tuesday, June 1st, 2004A club-show, 150 people in the audience, TV recording – well, that sounded pretty good, especially before all the festival shows! And it didn’t only sound good in advance, but the concert was really great – but I’m anticipating… =;-)

17.4.2004 Kaizers Orchestra (Viva Velinx Festival, Tongeren)
Saturday, April 17th, 2004The concerts in Germany were over, now we were going to Belgium. First up was a concert in Tongeren. No problem – that’s only one and a half hours from Bonn! That’s what we thought… but we didn’t take into account the fact that there are NO signs telling you where to go in Belgium, so we accidentally drove into Liège and it took us over an hour to find our way back out… *sigh*
