19.10.2007 Skambankt (City Scene, Alta)

Friday, October 19th, 2007

Three hours of sleep is definitely too little… Still, I managed to get to the airport and to Alta. Which was by the way the tiniest airport I’ve ever seen (well, before I saw the one in Hammerfest, to be precise *g*). Anyway, no matter how small the airport: Never leave your luggage unattended! Not even if there is a limo outside waiting for you. =;-)

“Will you play only in Oslo, Bergen and Stavanger next time, or will there be more concerts?” – “Oh, there will be more!”

17.10.2007 Cloroform (Driv, Tromsø)

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

Hmm… what can I write about a Cloroform concert? I mean, except that it was really weird, but really really great anyway, of course… =;-)

9.8.2007 Kaizers Orchestra (Sziget Festival, Budapest)

Thursday, August 9th, 2007

Kaizers Orchestra at Sziget Festival! And as it happens, I’ve been wanting to go there again for quite some time now, more precisely for 7 years. Because in 2000, I was at Sziget and I just loved it. That time, Die Ärzte were the reason for me to go to Hungary, and since then I have been keeping an eye on the line up – but it never was quite good enough to convince me to take the trip again. Kaizers alone wouldn’t have been enough either, but as there were a lot of great bands apart from Kaizers playing as well, the plan was clear: I’d finally make it back to Hungary for a nice summer-sunshine-vacation with Budapest sightseeing during day time and lots of great music at night! =:-)

7.8.2007 Disco Ensemble (Gloria Flames, Oslo )

Tuesday, August 7th, 2007
This entry doesn't exist in English.

3.8.2007 Skambankt (Raumarock)

Friday, August 3rd, 2007

Skambankt are playing lots of festivals this summer, and I had decided to see at least one. And as the only “convenient” festival (Øya in Oslo) was at the same time as Sziget and thus not an option, I decided to stick to just one festival. No problem, as I hate big festivals anyway, so I didn’t really have the feeling to miss anything by skipping the other festival concerts… (OK, I’m ignoring the fact here that “big festivals” refers to German festivals and that Norwegian festivals won’t count as more than tiny according to German standards, of course… *g*) So I checked the line-up of all the festivals, and when I saw that Hopalong Knut played at Raumarock, the decision was clear. (Pulpit announced the line-up way too late, so well, again no Zahl for me… *sigh*)

13.07.2007 – Photos Skambankt (Kvinesdal)

Now, how do you write a summary of a concert so great everything is mixed together in one happy mass? I’ve no idea, but I’ll try anyway. This is my memory of the Skambankt concert in Kvinesdal.

15.6.2007 Kaizers Orchestra (Documenta, Kassel)

Friday, June 15th, 2007

Kaizers Orchestra won’t play any concerts for one year – well, I never really believed that. But I was surprised when word got out that one of the few concerts they would play during their live break would actually take place in Germany! And – even though I had to skip a Madsen concert for it – this was perfect. Kassel is not really “next door” for me, but well… it is fair, in any case. So nobody in Germany could complain about the concert taking place too far away, ’cause Kassel is right in the centre of Germany.

28.4.2007 Skambankt (Sprellfestivalen, Ås )

Saturday, April 28th, 2007

The next day started way to early, and I felt more dead than alive, but well – there was a lot more sightseeing to do, and another concert that night, so we got on our way pretty soon.

27.4.2007 Skambankt (Blå Grotte, Fredrikstad)

Friday, April 27th, 2007

Another weekend trip to Norway, including two Skambankt concerts, yeah! And this time, it was actually a lot more than “only” concerts, but a lot of sightseeing, sitting in the sun and… driving. Argh.
