Two off-days in Wien – not really sufficient to recover from the previous part of the tour, but enough to be anxious for another concert again! =;-) And Munich is known for the great concerts there… and it fulfilled all expectation.

But at first, when we entered the venue a bit after the doors opened, the well-known feeling again: Why the hell aren’t there any people here?! Just like most other venues, the Muffathalle looked terribly empty, even though we didn’t arrive long before the time when the concert was supposed to start. But then, a few minutes after we arrived, they actually started to set up a barrier in front of the stage. And when Jarle went on stage, the hall looked pretty full again!

Jarle Bernhoft got a great reception, and he declared Munich as best concert of the tour so far. As did Kaizers lateron – however, they added that it was the “best concert in Germany on this tour” and that they “have a very bad memory”… *lol* But it definitely was a really great concert! In comparison to the previous concerts in Munich, the audience seemed a bit quiet and reserved to me sometimes, but that might have been due to the venue – the Muffathalle is just a tiny bit too big, and the Backstage was so much nicer. =:-/ But the atmosphere was definitely great and the audience had a lot of fun. It just seemed like all of this got lost a bit – but probably only for us down in the audience, as the band seemed very enthusiastic.

The setlist: Intro, Delikatessen, Djevelens orkester, Señor Torpedo, Veterans klage, Sigøynerblod, Resistansen, Philemon Arthur & The Dung, Femtakt filosofi, Din kjole lukter bensin mor, En for orgelet en for meg, Diamant til kull, Psycho under min hatt, Svarte katter & flosshatter, Hjerteknuser, Sju bøtter tårer er nok Beatrice, Ompa til du dør, Bøn fra helvete, Kontroll på kontintentet, Maestro. Encore KGB and Dieter Meyers Inst. I have no clue why they didn’t come out again for a second encore and Bak et halleluja – the audience would have deserved it for sure!

There wasn’t really a lot of talk in between. The Jackal told that he always goes out to buy a hat in Munich. This time he got a red one, while Thunder bought the hat that the king in The King’s Speech wears. Oh, and by the way, Maestro is banned in Finland because of all the swearing in the chorus… but “that doesn’t matter here, because you don’t understand the lyrics anyway”.

It was absolutely awesome when Hellraizer used the break in Delikatessen to convince us of his acting abilities. While everybody else was frozen on stage without moving, Hellraizer acted very confused. I was just waiting for him to pat the others to find out what is wrong… *lol*

Before Din kjole lukter bensin, mor, the Jackal invited someone to join him on the microphone who he has known since she was seven years old: His best friend Misses Geir Kaizer! And at the end of the song, he showed us a little ballet dance…

It’s always impressive how the Jackal manages to control the audience. Just one little gesture, and the audience is completely quiet! And even more impressive if you consider that Jarle tried exactly the same before and failed miserably. =;-)

But well, a Munich audience doesn’t just listen to anybody… but to Kaizers! So the concert was really great, and the audience obviously loved it. Thumbs up!
