17.7.2009 Skambankt (Slottsfjellfestivalen)

Friday, July 17th, 2009

Skambankt are busy playing festivals, and I’m gonna miss out on that? No way! The decision for Slottsfjell festival was easy: It’s right next to Oslo-Torp, where the cheap RyanAir flights go… =;-) And then, Kaizer Orchestra were announced for another festival the week after, so that made a great vacation. Two birds with one stone! Or actually three birds, ’cause just after I had booked the vacation, Skambankt were announced for the second festival as well! But more about that next week, now it’s time for Slottsfjell!

Two great concerts so far – will the last one in Drammen keep up with that?

13.03.2009 Skambankt (Hydranten, Hamar)

Friday, March 13th, 2009

And on we go! Concert number two, this time in Hamar. We spent the afternoon walking along the lake, very nice – but kinda cold, actually. But no worry, we got warm again at the concert…

12.03.2009 Skambankt (Parkteatret, Oslo)

7.2.2009 Skambankt (Haugesund)

Saturday, February 7th, 2009

I really don’t know how all the bad karma about Skambankt concerts comes about. I mean, I made it to Haugesund without problems and saw another great concert, but right now I’m sitting at Haugesund airport with a chance of maybe 10% to actually make it back home today. Yeah. So forgive me if the report should sound negative in some way, it’s not because of the concert… =:-(

6.2.2009 Skambankt (Bergen)

Friday, February 6th, 2009

New album, new tour! =:-) And right back to the old routines… I mean, I’m kind of used to things going wrong whenever I go to Norway to see Skambankt. This time it was that my flight to Norway was delayed for more than three hours – and of course it was with a different airline than the connecting flight, which I clearly couldn’t catch. Honestly, I already expected to spend my weekend in Oslo instead of going to Bergen and Haugesund… but then it did work out alright in the end, Norwegian airlines are the best, and I arrived in Bergen two hours later than expected. But hey – I made it! =:-)

20.10.2007 Skambankt (Redrum, Hammerfest)

Saturday, October 20th, 2007

The next day we put our lives at stake by driving over icy mountain roads to Hammerfest, the northermost city of the world (yeah! *g*). A bus had already driven off the road – but Lena got us to Hammerfest safely and without problems. =:-)

19.10.2007 Skambankt (City Scene, Alta)

Friday, October 19th, 2007

Three hours of sleep is definitely too little… Still, I managed to get to the airport and to Alta. Which was by the way the tiniest airport I’ve ever seen (well, before I saw the one in Hammerfest, to be precise *g*). Anyway, no matter how small the airport: Never leave your luggage unattended! Not even if there is a limo outside waiting for you. =;-)

3.8.2007 Skambankt (Raumarock)

Friday, August 3rd, 2007

Skambankt are playing lots of festivals this summer, and I had decided to see at least one. And as the only “convenient” festival (Øya in Oslo) was at the same time as Sziget and thus not an option, I decided to stick to just one festival. No problem, as I hate big festivals anyway, so I didn’t really have the feeling to miss anything by skipping the other festival concerts… (OK, I’m ignoring the fact here that “big festivals” refers to German festivals and that Norwegian festivals won’t count as more than tiny according to German standards, of course… *g*) So I checked the line-up of all the festivals, and when I saw that Hopalong Knut played at Raumarock, the decision was clear. (Pulpit announced the line-up way too late, so well, again no Zahl for me… *sigh*)

13.07.2007 – Photos Skambankt (Kvinesdal)

Now, how do you write a summary of a concert so great everything is mixed together in one happy mass? I’ve no idea, but I’ll try anyway. This is my memory of the Skambankt concert in Kvinesdal.
