My last Kaizers concert was more than two and a half months ago – way too long, time for another concert! Even though I didn’t have the feeling lately that I really “missed” something the last weeks. But when the stage was set up for Kaizers, when the intro came on, and when Kaizers came up on stage, it did feel special. Hah… finally another Kaizers concert!

25.7.2009 Kaizers Orchestra (Månefestivalen, Fredrikstad)
Saturday, July 25th, 20092.5.2009 Kaizers Orchestra (Blæst, Trondheim)
Saturday, May 2nd, 2009After only three hours of sleep and seven hours on the train, we arrived in Trondheim – and the weather fit our mood pretty well… Cold, gray, rainy, and the last concert of the tour. Plus, there were rumors that too many tickets had been sold, which made us worry that the place would be so terribly crowded that the concert wouldn’t be any fun.

1.5.2009 Kaizers Orchestra (Mono, Oslo)
Friday, May 1st, 2009The next concert – Oslo, Mono. Actually, we had planned to see Killmaster’s photo exhibition, but no: It was closed because of the holiday. =:-( Too bad, but so we went on to the signing instead. And yes, I actually managed to buy my CDs! I had almost given up on that…The rest of the day, we enjoyed the great sunshine outside – spring at its best, not really what you would expect for Norway at this time of the year!

30.4.2009 Kaizers Orchestra (Cementen, Stavanger)
Thursday, April 30th, 2009And on we go! I’ll only list up my notes here today, because there is so much to do in Oslo (I heard there’s some photo exhibition that might be worth a visit *g*, and then there’s another signing session – and who knows, maybe it’s possible to finally get hold of a CD there?), so I just don’t have any time for a “real” report. =;-)

29.4.2009 Kaizers Orchestra (Garage, Bergen)
Wednesday, April 29th, 2009Actually, I expected not to see Kaizers at all this year – but suddenly, in February, they announced the album Våre Demoner and the corresponding tour! First thought: Naaaah… that’s way too complicated, four days, four concerts, travelling to another Norwegian town every day… second thought: I CAN’T miss out on that!

21.11.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Postbahnhof, Berlin)
Friday, November 21st, 2008Hmm… actually I had planned to celebrate my 100th concert by NOT writing a concert report. =;-) But it was just too good, so I have to, I guess… *g* But I don’t have any photos this time.

20.11.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (LKA, Stuttgart)
Thursday, November 20th, 2008Finally a concert in my home town (or rather the city next to my home town, but that’s good enough)! For the very first time! =:-D OK, I guess I shouldn’t mention that it still took an hour to drive there, but well, that’s Stuttgart… But then I know the LKA pretty well, and because of that I was kinda doubtful while we were standing outside and waiting (the doors didn’t open until a quarter to eight, even though they should have opened at seven). There were very few people there actually – okay, not a big surprise on this tour, though. =:-(

16.11.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Stahlwerk, Düsseldorf)
Sunday, November 16th, 2008Hmm… naah. Didn’t really like that one. Not sure why – maybe because of the 600 kilometers between the last concert and this one? Or because you had to walk 200 meters in the hall this time before you actually reached the last row of the audience? Or maybe because of the 2 meter aisle separating band and audience? Or the setlist with very little gypsy? Probably a bit of all. So I didn’t really get into the concert mood this time. But then, my friends who came along and had never seen or heard of Kaizers before were amazed. =;-)

15.11.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Kofmehl, Solothurn)
Saturday, November 15th, 2008Next up was the only Switzerland concert of this tour, of course in… Solothurn. The venue looked absolutely dead before the doors opened, and right before the concert started, it was still pretty empty. But just like the last concerts, it did fill up eventually! So this promised to be another good concert again.

14.11.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Colos-Saal, Aschaffenburg)
Friday, November 14th, 2008Next stop: Aschaffenburg. No traffic jams (very unusual for a Friday afternoon!), so I arrived in Aschaffenburg an hour before the doors opened. No problem though – the venue was right in the city center, and I found a record store right away where I spent some time. Didn’t find anything though – but no wonder, Kaizers talked lateron on stage about how had they basically bought the whole shop. =;-)
