12.11.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Muffathalle, München)

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

And on to Munich! The weather was absolutely okay all the way, right until I came into Munich and it started raining… thank you very much. *grr* But well, I only had two and a half hours to pass anyway, that was feasible in the rain as well. A nice dinner and right to Muffathalle!

11.11.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Musiktheater, Kassel)

Hmm… the first concert in Germany. And it was a bit… mixed, let’s put it like this…

8.11.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Vega, Kopenhagen)

Saturday, November 8th, 2008

Wohoo! Now, that was a great concert trip. =:-) It started with a day of sightseeing and shopping in Copenhagen. And the sun was shining all day, so nice! And just after I had settled down in a café because I wanted to get some work done, I got a message from Aud. She was also in Copenhagen. Huh? So cool! And half an hour later I found out it wasn’t only Aud, but Lena and Linda were there as well. They had just decided spontaneously to get into the car and drive down to Copenhagen to see the concert.. and to get right back on the road to Oslo after the show. Hey, and I thought that I was crazy! *gg*

24.10.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Grieghallen, Bergen)

Friday, October 24th, 2008

After so many great concerts, there must be one that’s kinda stupid, that’s what you would assume at least. And Bergen promised to be “the one”: I had gotten only two hours of sleep the night before, and I was on the road all alone – but then you can catch up on some sleep in the afternoon at the hotel, and accidentally I bumped into several nice fellow fans before the concert, so I wasn’t all alone anymore (hi and takk for sist!).

23.10.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Sentrum Scene, Oslo)

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

Wow, they really get better and better from concert to concert! =:-) Or well, honestly I think it’s mostly the audience that gets better and better, but as long as this means that the overall impression of the concert gets better, it doesn’t really make a difference. =;-)

18.10.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Studentersamfundet, Trondheim)

Saturday, October 18th, 2008

So, next stop Trondheim! Out of bed very very early and into the train, eight hours, then a quick stop at the hotel and a little sightseeing tour in the rain. So we were pretty tired and completely finished when we arrived at the concert, but Kaizers did us the favor to come on stage fairly early that night (for Norway, at least *g*).

17.10.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Union Scene, Drammen)

Friday, October 17th, 2008

Yeah, finally a Kaizers tour again! And not a normal Kaizers tour, but the “obscurities tour” that has been discussed so much in the last weeks. And what can I say – they really kept their word, oh yes, they did!

29.8.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Døgnvill, Tromsø)

Friday, August 29th, 2008

You can say what you want, concerts and festivals are best when you can sleep in your own bed when the action’s over. The weather was cold, as it has been all summer in Tromsø, but at least there was no rain in sight. Kaizers were scheduled to play at a quarter to nine, and only for an hour. Way too little time for them in my opinion… But there was time enough for me to mingle and meet friends before the show.

22.8.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Parken Festival, Bodø)

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

It was raining in buckets, and absolutely no sign of clear skies in any direction. Yes, I’d heard about last year’s rain at Parkenfestivalen, but I was hoping for better weather this year. Oh well, I put on rainproof pants and jacket – and a borrowed sou’wester (my aunt bought it at Buktafestivalen in Tromsø, really nice one – why didn’t I think of buying one myself…?) to keep me dry and warm.

15.8.2008 Kaizers Orchestra (Highfield, Erfurt)

Friday, August 15th, 2008

The last one of my festival concerts already… Right after arriving on the festival grounds, I passed by the Festivalguide stand to see if maybe Kaizers would do a signing session there. And yes: Kaizers 19:00! Hmm, I could come by then… or maybe not, I really don’t need any autographs….and by the way, what time is it…? It was 19:00 on the spot, and while I was still wondering about whether I should disappear quickly or maybe have them finally sign my jacket, they came out and took the decision for me, basically. =;-) But I will never understand why you do signing sessions right next to the main stage at the time some other band plays on the main stage… *rolleyes*
